IronClip

Local-First Clipboard Manager for macOS

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 15, 2026

Your privacy is our core value. IronClip is designed as a "Local-First" application. This means your data never leaves your device.

1. No Data Collection

We do not collect, store, share, or sell any of your personal data. We do not have access to your clipboard history, copied content, or any other information processed by the app.

2. Local Storage

All clipboard history is stored locally on your Mac using Apple's SwiftData framework. The data resides in a secure sandbox environment on your hard drive.

3. No Analytics

IronClip does not use any third-party analytics services (like Google Analytics, Firebase, or Mixpanel) to track your usage. The app runs completely offline.

4. Smart Processing

Features like "Smart Type Detection" (identifying JSON, HEX colors, Code) and "Sensitive Data Masking" run entirely on your device's CPU. No text is ever sent to a cloud server for analysis.
