Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

The short version

KeepSlip keeps your receipts on your device. We run no servers, there is no account to create, and we never see your documents. There are no ads, no analytics SDKs, and no tracking of any kind.

What stays on your device

Receipts, photos, PDFs, scanned text, notes, serial numbers and every other field you enter are stored in the app's private storage on your device. This data is covered by your device's own encryption and, if you turn on the app lock, by Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.

iCloud sync

If you turn on iCloud sync, your data syncs through your own private iCloud account so it appears on your other Apple devices. It travels between your devices and Apple; it never reaches us. We cannot read it and we have no way into your iCloud account.

Recall checks — the only request that leaves your device

KeepSlip can check whether a product you own has been recalled. If, and only if, you turn on Automatic checks in Recall Alerts, the app sends the product name and store name from your receipts to the public recall database of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission at saferproducts.gov.

This setting is off by default. No identifier, amount, image, document, note or any other field is ever sent. You can also run a single check by hand while the setting is off. With it off and no manual check, KeepSlip makes no outbound network requests at all.

Purchases

Premium is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card details, address or Apple Account. The app asks Apple whether your purchase is active, and that exchange stays between your device and Apple.

No ads, no analytics, no tracking

KeepSlip contains no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK. We do not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA) and never ask for tracking permission, because there is nothing to track you with.

Early versions of KeepSlip did include advertising and analytics components. They were removed and are not present in the current app.

System features

With your permission, KeepSlip can add receipts to Spotlight search, show them in widgets, and create reminders in Calendar and Notification Centre. These are features of your own device and the data stays on it.

Children

KeepSlip is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device. If you used iCloud sync, you can remove the remaining copy from your device's iCloud storage settings, under the KeepSlip entry.

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the change is published here before it takes effect. For any question about your data, write to apps@mehmetsisoglu.com.

The agreement

These terms form an agreement between you and Mehmet Şişoğlu, the developer of KeepSlip. By downloading or using the app you accept them.

Your licence

You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use KeepSlip on Apple devices you own or control, under the rules of the Apple Media Services Terms.

What you may not do

You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app, and you may not reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract its source code — except where the law grants you that right regardless of this agreement.

Free and Premium

KeepSlip is free to use with a limit on the number of receipts. Premium removes that limit and unlocks further features. Prices are shown in the app before you buy; purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms.

Your data is yours — and keeping it is shared work

Your receipts and documents belong to you. We never hold a copy, which also means we cannot restore anything for you. Use iCloud sync or the app's backup export so that a lost or erased device does not take your documents with it.

Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee

KeepSlip calculates return and warranty deadlines from what you enter and the periods you choose. Those calculations, the reminders and the notifications support your own record-keeping. They are not legal advice, and they do not create, extend or preserve any right you hold against a seller or manufacturer. Always check the terms that actually apply to your purchase.

Recall information

Recall matches come from a public U.S. government database and are shown for information only. A match may be wrong, and the absence of a match does not mean a product is safe. Confirm with the manufacturer or the relevant authority.

Provided as is

KeepSlip is provided as is, without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for lost data, missed deadlines, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app.

Apple

This agreement is between you and the developer, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for KeepSlip and is not responsible for any claim relating to it, including product liability, legal compliance and intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.

Ending, governing law and contact

The licence ends if you stop complying with these terms or delete the app. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Questions: apps@mehmetsisoglu.com.
